Are we talking at or talking with each other?
When we gather, we have an opportunity to connect and build relationships. However at many conferences we get stuck in the shallow end, exchanging transactional small talk.
Emma injects energy by inspiring people to be courageous, curious and authentic. Attendees leave the room buzzing, ready to connect with everyone around them.

If the idea of starting a conversations is terrifying, this talk will give you the tools to prepare and navigate any discussion.
Fire Starter Conversations
This keynote builds connection through conversation. Emma encourages people to be open and courageous, and facilitates a conversation with everyone in the room so we can practice. Each conversation is uniquely tailored to the interests of attendees.
Distillation Session
At the end of a conference, most people are overwhelmed. Distillation means “the extraction of the essential meaning” and in this session we review and synthesise the key learnings from the conference together. This ensures people know what the key messages are to take forward and share.
There is a low-tech tool we often overlook, and it’s the power of conversations. Whether to influence decision makers or to harness the wisdom of the crowd, an intentional conversation can spark new possibilities. I’m here to stoke that fire. We’re conversation experts, we have them all the time. Yet like our own breath, we take it for granted.
In this keynote, I provoke deeper awareness, consideration, and understanding of how to structure and facilitate complex conversations, ultimately encouraging everyone to hone their conversation craft.
